Transparent pricing for spine treatment in Valencia

We publish indicative prices in EUR so international patients can plan ahead. A spine surgery quotation with us is closed: it includes the surgeon and the full surgical team, the operating theatre, anaesthesia, implants where they are needed, the hospital stay and the follow-up visits. There is no separate hospital bill to add afterwards.

These are indicative figures for the Spanish private sector, not a fixed tariff. The only way to know the real price of your treatment is an individual assessment.

The cost depends above all on the technique, the number of levels treated and whether implants are required. Every quotation is issued in writing, itemised, before you commit to anything.

Important: All figures are indicative. The final personalised quote is provided after the consultation, when Dr. Vilatela has reviewed your imaging and your case.

Insurance. We work privately and are not on the panel of Spanish insurers such as Asisa or Adeslas. This does not rule you out if you are insured: policies that work on a reimbursement basis — Bupa Global, Cigna Global, Allianz Care, DKV Mundisalud, Sanitas International Residents, Caser reembolso — let you choose any surgeon outside the panel, pay, and claim back 80–90%. We issue invoices in English with the itemisation and diagnostic coding these insurers require. Allianz Care requires pre-authorisation (Treatment Guarantee Form, at least five working days) or the claim is refused. ASSSA operates a closed panel, so those policies would mean self-funding.

What is not included

Pre-op tests (blood tests, ECG, additional imaging if needed).
Accommodation and travel.
Translation services, if requested for languages other than Spanish or English.
